How do i weight train and marathon train when i have a very high metabolism? I cant put on weight when i do endurance running but wish to achieve a high standard in both. I lift weights then burn off muscle when running, even when taking creatine. Any ideas?

Currently training for a marathon. I ran a half marathon last year, and feel like I could have performed better if my feet didn’t hurt around mile 8. When I checked my feet after the half marathon, skin was rubbed off around the ball of the foot, etc. Any suggestions to take care of the rubbing as well?

OK so all the time i hear about how there is a cancer walk or marathon & the more people that go the more $ gets raised.. Where the heck does the $ come from? And why is it that people can participate in a walk or run activity for a charity & actually make $ for the disease research, etc..? I just dont understand the process.

I am planning on running my second marathon next October. I would like to come in at 7:10/ mile to qualify for the Boston Marathon. I just ran a 9:59/mile at the Mount Dessert Island marathon in Bar Harbor Me. The hills(mountains) were unbelievable!! Those who run it, say the overall incline towers that of Boston and the heartbreak hill. Only 10 people would have times that would have qualified for Boston. I know I need to work on my speed and work in some long runs, but how much and how often? I want to try to save my knees while keeping the endurance and working on the speed at the same time.
